Militant Reasonable People.

Hate those fucks with a passion.

What right do they have to demand that others adhere to a universally recognized standard of critical thinking based on successful results? I mean SERIOUSLY.

It's pure bigotry and intolerance. Angry
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

Nah, just the opposite - these militantly reasonable people think they've got the right to go round being unbigoted and tolerant. Smug bastards, the lot of 'em.

Someone's got to put a stop to it.

I mean, I get being reasonable and all but do they have to be so militant about it?

Too right, it's always in your face. What with their Reasonable Parades and their campaigns for Reasonable Equality and Reasonable Days at theme parks, it's plain as a pikestaff that they're just pushing their Reasonable Agenda.

You should not speak of that which you do not know of yourself.

The maturity of this forum is exactly what I had anticipated it to be, a lack of intellectual thought resides here. A lack of critical thinking, such was it in the case where JesusHChrist presented me with misinformation and I had to correct him.

He didn't even bother to make sure his sources were correct, like many of you, and that is why you are what you are. It seems my time here has been wasted, and I have precious little time to be wasted by speaking to the deaf. I hope some of you will eventually understand the futility of militant atheism and stop wasting your time as well when it could be used for better purposes.

I never said not to question religion, as all things should be questioned. I just believe that it should be done in a mature and respectful manner.

Why should it be done in any particular manner? Because you have a belief? You can imagine how persuasive that might be to someone like myself.....yes? We (But I can stick with "I", if you'd like) subject things to ridicule as an acid test. We/I do this with -everything-. Why should I treat religion differently?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Sometimes militancy is the only thing some religious people - fundamentalists, for instance - understand.

If someone makes religious claims that are wrong, but will not even listen to counter arguments - something I've encountered a lot among the religious -, or uses their religion as an excuse to lie, harm others, etc, I will get militant in my response.

What is wrong with countering militant religion with militancy (and, again, it depends on what you define as "militant")?

With some people and groups, if you turn the other cheek they'll take the opportunity to slap that one, too.

ridicule then your own treatment of others. If you were truly concerned about wanting to have an intellectual discussion with someone on religion you would know that people are not well receptive to being said that they are wrong, least of all having their thoughts called stupid, ignorant, or the like. When I came here you even posted a indecent picture of the muslim prophet, how well do you think the muslims would see that? Do you think that posting such pictures would change their minds? Or do you think that it would enrage them to see you being so disrespectful? How can you expect disrespect to change their minds? You ought to feel shame for the way you have acted, I have seen children that acted more mature than what I have seen on this forum.

What is wrong with adding gasoline to the fire? By militant I mean the utter lack of respect and maturity offered by either side in a discussion.

Bitch, stop it. You created this thread for the express purpose of telling us that we are wrong.
