Christians. Could you be wrong?

It's not even a good guess. Used in this pseudo-scientific way, it's just labelling ignorance as knowledge and shutting down enquiry as a consequence.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

What exactly is sin? If I am to be accused of a crime, you'd better be damn sure of the definition of that crime.

And why does that deserve infinite torture?

Put it this way. In England, we outlawed torture way back in 1215, with the exceptions of cases where Royal Consent was given and it was in the public interest. Since then, only thirty-four Torture Warrants were issued, for cases such as the infamous Gunpowder Plot against James I. None of the cases on record ever went beyond the intended remit of the torture; ie once the objective had been achieved, the torture ended.
I am from northern ireland, recently it came out in the news that 12 people who were interned had been tortured during the troubles under consent. They were arrested without trial.

You don't have eye witness anything, super stud. You've got books written years after Jesus died, by people who- within the context of the biblical narrative- never met Jesus, and who in real world terms might not even exist themselves as the consensus is generally that the gospels are anonymously authored, making claims about supposed eye witnesses who, curiously enough, never managed to write a single thing about Jesus while he was alive.

So you've got third or fourth hand accounts from nameless authors with a vested interest in making Jesus seem like a real person. Not really hugely compelling evidence, so stop trying to overstate the case.
Do you know that the four gospels were written by people that were part of Jesus' close disciples. It is an eyewitness account.

Actually, they were not.

The latest scholarship is pretty conclusive that they were written by unknown authors, none of which were eyewitnesses.

The earliest Gospel, Mark was written no earlier than 40 years (but more likely, 70 years) after the alleged death of Jesus.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

Yup.

It's about as eye witness as me, being 29 and not knowing anyone who was there, telling the story of what happened at Pearl Harbour during the Japanese attack.

But you'd have a good chance, with a bit of research, of getting things like the geography correct.

The Gospel writers don't even get the geography of their own alleged locations correct.

Fun fact: If you look very carefully, during a Harvest Moon, it is said by some that it is possible to see a question in my last post in this thread.
