Dirty sod. Honestly, you're like God with another virgin sometimes.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Quote:Cherry picking, suppressing evidence, or the fallacy of incomplete evidence is the act of pointing to individual cases or data that seem to confirm a particular position, while ignoring a significant portion of related cases or data that may contradict that position. It is a kind of fallacy of selective attention, the most common example of which is the confirmation bias. Cherry picking may be committed intentionally or unintentionally. This fallacy is a major problem in public debate.

Wikipedia | Cherry picking

I know you first heard about the fibonacci sequence in this thread, but do a Google search on it and you'll get 998,000 results. which one of those did i "cherry pick"?
The reason I used howstuffworks.com as a source is because it is not a website devoted to the fibonacci sequence.

interestingly enough, google search "fibonacci sequence real" = 468,000

google search "fibonacci sequence fake" = 52,400

Now who's the cherry picker? Hypocrite.

It's very telling that you and Jenny unknowingly reference the exact same website as debunking the fibonacci sequence.

Just because you find a few nut jobs that deny the holocaust, doesn't make them right, anymore than finding a few websites "debunking" the fibonacci sequence makes them right.

Wow, Godwin's law in a discussion about spirals? You've outdone yourself Huggables.

What? Are you serious, dude? I've known about the Fibonacci Series longer than you've been alive.

Real? Fake? No one here is denying that the Fibonacci Series exists.

Debunking the Fibonacci Series? What does that even mean?

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

And you need ears to hear the Geiger counter tick. And as it was already mentioned, a brain to analyze the data perceived by the senses.

Hold up, stop the presses! from now on circles will be known as "curves"

Look Muppet #2 the proper description of a circle is "circle", not curve, so describing the fibonacci spiral as a "curve" and not a spiral is not correct.

all curves are not circles or spirals.

How can you guys have enough patience to continue this conversation when this guy even debates the definitions of simple words like "curve"?

Wow, you just went there.

You're actually equating us not believing your lunatic ramblings about numerology to holocaust denial.

Wow dude, just, wow.

Full Definition of QUOTIENT
1: the number resulting from the division of one number by another

My original statement was that you could get the golden ratio by dividing the dimensions of DNA 34/21 = 1.61 ratio

Surgenator posted his numbers of 34/23.7 and called it a ratio, and all of you agreed. when i asked what was the two numbers he divided together to come up with that "ratio", no answer as of yet.

Since you know so much about ratios, care to explain?

Surg literally and explicitly answered this in an earlier post, and you even quoted that post yourself.

Quote:The distance between repeating twist in DNA is 34 A. You also claimed 34 A. We agree on that. The diameter of DNA is 23.7 A. You claim it was 21 A. We disagree here. With your numbers, you get the ratio 34 A vs 21 A. So you claim the fibonacci sequence is in DNA. The actual ratio is 34 A vs 23.7 A.
