Well Washington seems to have guns and they barely shoot themselves...oddly most places have light gun restrictions with little issues with violence. Proving it is a psychological issue, getting rid of the tool will not fix anything if the root cause is not fixed.
I would be a televangelist....but I have too much of a soul.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.
The real reason that Minimalist hates guns so much happened long ago. Behold a glimpse of him and his wife years ago.

Just because you don't agree with Min's overall view doesn't lessen the impact of all of these horrible examples. Guns are not toys and are simply too serious a responsibility for may of today's "enthusiasts." We may say that both you and I will not do such irresponsible things, but it is obviously not true for so many of these examples.
Min's posts push me to secure my guns better and to think ahead more.

Yeah....but you seem to overlook the fact that every state registers cars and licenses drivers. And as far as I know they all require them to carry insurance against their potential stupidity. Maybe we could agree that guns should be treated the same as cars? I'd settle for that, Chas. Would you? And, K. Get a good hold of your gun and your dick. Both may go off unexpectedly. Meanwhile, whatever would we do if a couple of Second Amendment Heroes weren't shooting up a children's restaurant? http://www.abcnews4.com/story/26763927/police-investigate-shooting-at-west-ashley-chuck-e-cheese Quote:WEST ASHLEY, S.C. (WCIV) -- Two men were wounded in a shooting Saturday night at a children's restaurant in West Ashley. The shooting stemmed from an argument, police said. This, sadly, is the result of having 'guns.....everywhere.' |
