what would make you change your beliefs?

That's bullshit. YOU might think you know. I want evidence. There is a chasm between us that you cannot grasp.

But it doesn't matter what you want. If god communicated with you directly you would know it. If you had a choice in testing god I'm sure you would and so would I. But you wouldn't have that choice.

There is NO EVIDENCE for your fucking god. What part of that is causing you the most trouble?

Some asshole shows up and says "Hey, I'm God!" and you believe it?

Come on. I don't think you are as silly as you sound.

I think that what Godhead here is trying to say is that... if "God" spoke to you, you would simply know that it was, indeed, "God"... because he's... you know... "God"... and the very act of his communicating with you would just wash your doubts away. Like magic!

Yes that's exactly what I'm saying. There's a distinction between that, and discussing whether or not god exists.

And what I am trying to get through his thick skull is that HE might believe it because he is predisposed to believe in superstitious twaddle.

I'm not.

Fuck all gods. And especially their followers!

But do you understand the distinction between what you're talking about and what the thread is about?

RE: what would make you change your beliefs?
To Min: Well, yes... he believes that is what would happen, because he believes that god is real. If god -were- real, he'd be able to just make you believe, because he would have those cool god-like powers.

So in answer to the original question (what would make you change your beliefs)... I think it's safe to say that, if god were real, he could.

By the same token, if you were suddenly struck with schizophrenia it is quite likely you would be instantly convinced the voices are your friends and are just looking out for your well-being.
