The unity of the Bible is one of the greatest evidences of its supernatural origin.
The Bible is unique. Hundreds of years and in some cases over a thousand years before certain events took place, the Bible made precise predictions concerning those events. No other sacred book ventured to make such predictions. The Bible is the only book which dared to stake its claim to divinity on the accuracy of its prophecies!
I'm a Christian to but there are mistakes in the Bible, especially the kjv. Paul says to rightly divide the word of truth. In other words you need to understand the whole book and not pick out just parts.
None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.

I agree that the two testaments are united, but so what? If one cow shits in the barn and a second cow follows suit, you've simply got twice as much shit.

Sorry, but making a claim in no wise assures the validity of that claim. I can claim to be the owner of all the diamond mines in South Africa, that doesn't make it so.

But reason does not sanction the Bible; faith does that, and faith is the antithesis of reason.

But the Bible is chock-a-block with unreasonable things, substitutive sacrifice being a glaring example. If we are to allow our reason to be approved by the cheek by jowl crap in the Bible, then reason can't exist. Since reason does exist, the Bible can't be the source for approval of reason.

I disagree. ALL religious texts gain authority from the emotion of their supplicants, the primary emotions involved being guilt, fear, and greed.
