The Bible isn't meant as a book of science, it in no way teaches science, it is however a book explaining what go has done by His choices.

No. Have you? That's right: no. The upshot of the math presented in the verse is that pi=3. If you lack the percipience to deduce that, that's not my problem, nor my misunderstanding.

Yes. However, all figures in that verse are given in cubits, so this isn't a conversion inaccuracy. And you would have to presume that somewhere in the construction of that circle, they changed the size of the cubit, without mentioning it, in order for those numbers to fit.

That's an awful lot of gymnastics to avoid admitting error.

Many mathematical experts say it was common practice in ancient times to round up or down numbers. We actually do that most often today unless we need to give a very specific answer and thus pi= 3.1416 rounded down is 3.

Try making an O-ring with pi=3, and see how fast your engine seizes up once the oil has leaked out.

No one nowadays rounds pi down to three when they're building a circular construction. If you have examples of this happening, please post them; otherwise I'll file this in the More Horseshit from GodsBile file.

It has no ending, so no complete answer can be drawn from it. As many atheist have said here, a circle is not perfectly round and a number used in calculations for an imperfect object must in itself be imperfect. I understand pi is the best thing man has for circles and arcs and ect., I use it in my woodworking, it does get things close but not perfect.

It is an exact ratio (C/d), which is not the same thing as a finite number. Do try to pay closer attention.

But desire presupposes existence. If God desired to exist, then he would have to have existed for that desire to take place. Before you go all twitchy and think that this means God has always existed, calm yourself. What it means is that you just posited God as existing before he existed.

Still doesn't beg to answer why does god exist. He is a complex being he just desired himself into existence?! how could you or me or even god without any consciousness because he didn't exist just desired himself to live. so what does he or does he not have a creator. that is the only question that i am asking. gods consciousness would be the issue he would need to be conscious to desire himself to exist.
