Dragon Age Inquisition

Fuck yeah...

Who else got this for Xmas? Or before, I guess, if you don't have to wait for Santa.

I thought I'd give some first impressions, as I'm only 25 hours in so far.

(Rant below, possibly contains spoilers, I also say a few things that kind of assume you know the characters/story. I was bored as fuck when I wrote the following too. Okay?! I pretty much wrote a whole fucking review basically, so uh... read at your own peril. It's fucking long is what I'm trying to say.)

Discuss.

I didn't get it, santa's fat ass doesn't like me Big Grin

The graphics improvements is always mind blowing, 3D porn will catch up to that in the future Tongue
Liked the song too, very nice and sweet voice .

Personally I'd like to know how it compares to the second instalment in regards of story telling and gameplay?

I didn't play the second part, since the demo alone was enough to put me off.

Instead of PS3 games ask people for the corresponding money to buy a decent PC. Not criticizing, that's what I'm doing right now

I never understood the PS or the Xbox fans, why go for these gaming consoles instead of buying a PC, which is also mostly cheaper and could give better graphics .

Honestly?

The second game gets a bad rap but I still think it was on par with the first. The companions were slightly less memorable and the environments were lazily put together but it was still a pretty great game.

If I remember correctly, the demo is the opening sequence to the game. That's probably the WORST part they could have used. I'd say give it another go, it's worth it, the story is really a lot better than most people say it is.

Gameplay wise, some people prefer the tactical aspect of the first game and others prefer the hack n slash style from the second. I can only speak for consoles, I know it's different for PC. The third game just improved on all the aspects of the second in terms of combat, although you can switch to a 'tactical camera' which pauses time and you can issue orders and all that stuff. I never use it though. As long as the gameplay doesn't get monotonous or boring over long periods it's actually secondary to me to a great many other aspects. I don't play bioware games for the combat really. Having said that, IMO it's pretty damn fun to play. I don't normally like playing as an archer in these games but it's probably the most fun class I've played with, followed closely by a mage. The class I'm using though is a dual wield assassin. Cliché, but it's badass.

I'm a former console gamer, I still love the PS console though... There are many reasons for it, for instance consoles are easier to use because it's just plug and play, and I'm sorry to say it but for a good desktop I need to spend 800-900€ if I'm lucky (custom built) while a PS4 with a game like GTAV costs 400€, 500€ when it came out. But console games cost more.

RPG's are a great reason to have a PC, with all the mods and all, it's worth the waiting until I can afford one. Until then I'll just play older RPG's on my lappy.

Because it's not nearly as much of a fuckabout as what a PC is. It's just easier. Plain and simple. I buy a console. I buy the games. I don't have to worry about specs or putting together a PC or whether I can use a controller or mouse or having to install shit. Consoles are just easier.

And it's alright saying "oh buy a PC instead". I don't have 300/400 quid lying about.

Me neither. Another positive is that you probably won't get shitted with half console ports that completely suck

I never played beyond Dragon Age 2 and I really miss that game so much.
