I watched this yesterday. It kept my attention, it didn't blow my mind though. I was definitely keen on watching it all the way through. I consider it a pretty good drama/romance. It's on Netflix. Visually it was well done. I like Jim Sturgess. Kirsten... meh.

I'm not big on nature in and of itself. However, hiking is an adventure, and while I'm not an avid hiker (disabled, anyhow), I respect the challenge of it. It brought back many memories of my last big hike, on the North Carolina/Georgia line, and I almost stepped on a snake. I hate snakes. There was a scary snake scene in this movie. Nothing over the top, but it was very real. But now I need to read the book (there is a book, right?), because I think I did miss some of the actual point of the movie. No regrets in seeing it, though.

Finally got round to 'Gravity', with Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, two actors I don't particularly dislike.

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
