I'll let you wear high heels for me, if you want. All bets are off about wearing anything else though.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

This is the real point though, isn't it? Mississippi can proclaim any book to be the official state book, but my money is on it not being read by a significant percentage of the population. We already know that most self-proclaimed Christians don't understand the contents of the book, other than what they're told on Sunday.
Mississippi declaring an official state book is as useful as Kansas declaring an official state ocean.

"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Thanks! My wife got a laugh out of that.
She's from Jackson.
The rest of them are hilarious too.
My state's is probably tamer than it deserves.

BTW, which Bible ??
New International Version ?
King James 1611 ?
Catholic ?
That revised and corrected one Joe Smith did for LDS, announced a direct revelation from God ORDERING the LDS to publish it, that LDS did NOT publish, (even 100 years later) that the RLDS did publish, that was pronounced by a noted Mormon apologist as true and faithful to the handwritten version in Joe Smith's own hand (a copy of which is still in the LDS secret archive) ??
