If pinkie pie isn't real, then how do you explain the existence of ponies, huh? If ponies are real, then that's proof that Pinkie Pie is real. Checkmate, christians!

It's a very poor story meant to convince people that women are untrustworthy. The Eden story is also very poor. Actually I'm not sure there are any bible storues that don't have multiple plot holes.

Most here do not agree with any validity to the story in and of itself but rather this is a discussion on the situation. It could be anything, could a woman beguile a man and take his gun or house or property of any sort. Very feasible, it is done all the time. Con-artist.

Not from reading the bible. That's just something you do after the fact, if at all. You first become a Christian because you grow up in the faith or because you are influenced by a charismatic preacher. Then you go to bible group or whatever, and concentrate on the few bits that resonate with you. The bits you find ridiculous, with more good will, you will simply feel need interpretation and the right approach to make sense, etc., you can always make it work if you don't ask too many questions

I have had more women take advantage of me than men. I feel like a jerk sometimes when I don't help people, but in the long run I have lost more than I gained when sticking my neck out for people.

Because of the simple fact the threat of hell. If one were to say to a authoritarian that the bible is just made up and not even real they get threatened with a inhumane place that doesn't exist.

Sampson is the story of most of us.
He got sucked in to the allure of a worldly babe.
The devil has something for everyone.
The three G's get a lot of guys: Girls / Gold and Glory.
Sammy did ignore the warning not to involve with those kind of relationships with the tribes around him, he got clues from Delilah that he ignored, so he cooked his own goose.
He only got beguiled by being where he ought not to be.
A lesson for us all.
