Damn, are you saying my history teachers lied to me? XD
But you're right, probably not the best example. First thing I could think of that involved greed and scientific advancement. And I meant his theories about the circumference of the earth, sorry for not being clear.

I had one teacher in 7th grade who taught a lot of myths that I discovered to be false later on. That shit pissed me off. I can't think off the top what bullshit he perpetuated, I've blocked that grade from my mind.

By the way, I do belive in a god, just keeping an open mind.
I prefer not to give you an argument.
I prefer to say that it is far more probable that a supernatural, divine, invisible etc.etc. being doesn't actually exist.
A man is born to a virgin mother, lives, dies, comes alive again and then disappears into the clouds to become his Dad. How likely is that?

Technically, he doesn't have to give an argument. He's at the default position of "Bullshit, till you prove it with real evidence." Mosts theists don't seem to understand they have the burden of proof

No,it's a statement. It's about " probability ".

No,it's a statement. It's about " probability ". An argument is simply a series of statements that attempts to convince the opponent of the proponent's position (or otherwise justify/refute a claim). Pointing out the staggering improbability of a claim, while not the most rigorous of refutations, constitutes such an attempt. No?
