I don't care about the Royals.

I don't care about the rich having more than me. I do care about far too many humans worshiping celebrity and wealth. I don't give one fuck about the Royals having another baby. Humans give birth millions of times a year worldwide. The rich and poor friend and foe alike all fuck and make babies, and the rich and poor and friend and foe alike will all die.
What should be more important to our species is stop this stupid shit of worshiping humans, clubs and parties and problem solve to bring more stability to the world and protect our planet.

I know what you mean. I feel no ill will towards them, it's not the current generation of royals fault. But at the same time the age of hereditary right to rule should be over, a relic of the dark ages that clings on for some reason.

Speak out, it is that simple. Not everyone has to be an inventor or win a Nobel Prize. But the more people who raise their voices the more those voices add up. No one should want a fascist state or want no diversity in class at all. It is the worship, the tribal think, the consuming just to consume, the worship of celebrity and wealth. Our planet is far too ruled by the few and in doing so that greed is harming our planet and will cause more divisions and conflict if we cannot learn that we all live on the same rock.
Not communism, fuck that. Mixed economies with enforcement of anti monopoly laws. Bans on plutocracies.

As long as there's a market for it, there will be society shit splattered over the media. Simple as that. Personally I don't care where prince poopsy ripped his latest fart, but obviously some people do.
But hero worship isn't confined to these regions. All too often I see references bordering on hero worship of certain prominent atheists also. Such as Harris, Dawkins or Hitchens. It's on the same lines.

What makes you think I like worship of atheists either?
I think you need to understand the value of their work and the person. Hitchens work is important and no, I don't agree with everything he says. I also like Harris, but he gives me a lip twitch with his Buddhism fetish which I don't like. Dawkins promoting science is what we need, but I met him once and from what people have said he seems to be a bit of a stuffed shirt and I would not want to hang out with him at a bar. Neil's work in promoting science is also needed but no, he should not be worshiped either.
In my 14 years of online debate and activism, I also run into Ayn Rand atheists, have run into Che supporters who are atheists, and neither of those economic views do I support. I have run into other atheists who think the universe is a thinking entity. I have run into other atheists who buy into JFK and 9/11 conspiracies.
So no, atheists should not be worshiped either. That does not negate the work famous atheists have done.
This is about worship of celebrity and wealth in general.
