Um. Source? Not that I'm against seperation of church and state, but...this seems more like opression at its finest, rather than secularism...

Sarcasm detector broken much?

Look at that picture. If that frightens anyone enough for them to want to prohibit it I laugh at them. (All though I do wish she had both hands on the wheel.) :|

Fantastic news.

If only the former Great Britain would finally show some backbone and ban them as well.

I dont see why people are opposed to it?
I think it is because secular people are afraid of an Islamic Europe...
Its ok to have doubt, just dont let that doubt become the answers.

If you want to establish a precedent for criminalizing dress remember that the tables could be turned and your choice of clothing could be criminalized.

I'd rather the precedent weren't set, but I can live with it. Now this means I can get laws passed to do to other people what the French government is doing to Muslim people.

What first? How about the Jewish yarmulke?
Nevermind. The French government banned the wearing of kippot, hijabs and large crosses in public schools in March 2004.

At least they are being consistent in their anti-religious bigotry. That's more my cup of tea.

Lrh 9, what is going to happen to Europe is; either you are going to hear church bells or have people (Imams?) calling for Salat (prayer).
