Are there any opinion polls on this? Is it looking likely they'll vote yes? Although after the recent UK election i'm not sure i trust opinion polls anymore
Heard some arguments from Irish people who are against it on the news and their argument seems to be, "you already have civil partnerships so how 'bout you shut up, k?"
“The larger the group, the more toxic, the more of your beauty as an individual you have to surrender for the sake of group thought. And when you suspend your individual beauty you also give up a lot of your humanity. You will do things in the name of a group that you would never do on your own. Injuring, hurting, killing, drinking are all part of it, because you've lost your identity, because you now owe your allegiance to this thing that's bigger than you are and that controls you.” - George Carlin

From the first article:
"While surveys predict the referendum will pass by as much as two-to-one, pollsters say it might hinge on younger voters actually turning up to vote. Kavanagh says those returning home are overwhelmingly 'Yes' voters."

Don't worry, my friend. If this be the end, then so shall it be.

With the "yes" vote carrying the day it seems that Ireland has tossed the Catholic church into the trash bin and that it has finally broken its stranglehold on the country. The vote illustrates that if people want freedom that they have to step up and take it.
It also shows how bigoted America is with the Repubs trying to drag the county back into the 17th century with its bigoted policies.
Hopefully the Irish vote will be a light unto the world and inspire people to throw off their shackles and become free people around the globe.
