This statement can be proven, your previous statement regarding entanglement cannot.

a little I guess.  stupid people dismissing stone cold logical in favor of personal emtional stances kind of fustrates me sometimes.

but again ... stick with the facts.

Assuming stupidity on the part of a person simply because they don't agree with your undemonstrated assertion is self-serving, but unconvincing.

It's a shame you're unable to disagree agreeably.

Wow. Finally we have someone here interested in nothing but facts and logic (stone cold variety, no less). I wonder if he might be the special? [/sarcasm]

RE: I NEED logical support...
First let me begin with offering condolences, I'm sorry for your loss.

Next, my response is based on the assumption that you meant physical and not "psychical". If your meant psychical then my comment may not help.

It sounds to me like you had a premonition. The fact that your grandmother was in hospice makes having a death premonition logical. She is in a place where people die so death is inevitable, therefore a valid logical premonition. I have a premonition 6 days a week that my mail will be delivered, that is logical based on past experience.  You may have subconsciously had that premonition other days and never registered it because she did not die that day. The fact that you had the premonition that day and she died that day I would call coincidence or a self fulfilling prophecy, both logical.

If she were not in ill health and you had the premonition and she died that would not be logical.

You may be looking for a logical answer to a situation where logic is not applicable. I suggest that you just accept your feelings, logical or not. If you feel that your premonition somehow caused her death then you might want to seek some professional help in dealing with grief.

Don't confuse what you felt with being a theist.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

I agree with what you say, but I'd just be careful about using the word 'premonition', because it comes pre-loaded with some "psychic" baggage to many people even if it's just simply a feeling that something's about to happen. A sense of foreboding might be a better way to put it, but meh, I'm just leery about using terms that 'psychics' and 'mediums' use a lot.

All he asked was for something logical for his experience.  I gave him some. Its only about a mechanism for a close family member feeling the pain of another family member.  because you don't know enough to see it isn't my problem. Toss in that NASA did find that "space is something".  They do not know what it is, but it suggest that everything is connected.  we can toss in magnetic fields and the freedom of electrons to move about too.  But my guess is you are only intrested in your emotionally based belief maintaining the safety of your world view.

And be clear, I made no claims of certainty, I only gave "possible".  I even admitted vauge.  You are just defending a belief system at all cost.

The reason I am posting is because of an occurrence which has forced me to question my logic and I am looking for input from those who may possess a better understanding (to the degree that is possible) of these things than I do.

My grandmother was 97 years old. I had a very special bond with her, she was the relative that I inherited my intelligence from. She believed in god, but at her age, I cannot blame her for that.

She had been in poor psychical health for a long time and was in hospice for the SECOND time. Mentally, at age 97, she was 100%! She was strong proof that mental strength beats psychical strength any day. I was always convinced that she would live until she was ready to go.

Without any particular forewarning, I knew she was going to die yesterday. When she died yesterday, I knew it happened. I am serious, I am not trolling, this is not easy for me!

I struggle to understand how I could have LOGICALLY both known this was going to and did happen. I had some connection to her that was cut (or something) and I can't understand the existence of that in a logical world...  Huh

There are many many many stories where people knew something they shouldn't otherwise have known. This would suggest that there is more in our universe than the physical. Perhaps you should rethink your atheism and check out what your grandmother believed. If you really had a close relationship, she was probably praying for you all the time. James 5:16 - The effective prayer of a righteous [wo]man can accomplish much.

Using someone's grief to push your religion is pretty fucked up, even for you Steve-o.
