Jesus Fuck! Even in a thread specifically created to discuss heaven.
Ever feel like the word "Fuck" isn't strong enough to express our utter disgust at the idiocy that has been passed off as truth by these numbskull theists..
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.
I may defend your right to free speech, but i won't help you pass out flyers.

Didn't you say somewhere you have a wife? And Stim thins having a woman will answer his problems. Somebody ought to tell him the truth.
Yeah I have a wife She says to me, "Do they think you're a real person on that forum?" I say, "Yeah, I think so!"
She is absolutely wonderful and my flannelings would be missing their insides without her.

You know, like you would do on, say, a discussion forum? ._. All the link is in this case is a fairly standard Thomistic interpretation drawing from Ignatius and Clement's opinions of the trial of angels that occurred prior to the creation of man (the theory is that Angels once had free will but chose to put it under the service of God, that's why Lucifer got a chance to rebel whereas angels "today" can't/won't).
The idea is you'll have free will in heaven, but what will have changed is that the idea of using it for any other purpose than the will of God will repulse you. In theory you could blaspheme in heaven, but you will no longer want to.
Either your reprogrammed or you have a huge personality shit, or not so big one if you're devout.

......which completely and directly contradicts the claim that getting rid of evil would mean god interfering with our free will. Can't they get their own shit right? I mean come on ._.

Having free will doesn't even make sense, regardless if there's a god involved or not. So I don't know what you're asking me exactly.

What fun! The OP poses a question that one might think could be answered clearly and unequivocally based on Yahweh's "inspired" Word, and what do we get? A Catholic linking to an article that says that, yes, we will have free will in Heaven (but choose not to rebel) and a Protestant who says that, no, we do not have free will in Heaven or on Earth.
Who knew that childish fantasies could be so hard to understand?

You should ask if the bible says we have free will now?
That answer would also be no.
It says we are either slaves to God, or Slaves to sin. So if you are going to compare apples to apples you need to take all of what the bible says. It says we are going to serve/reap Sin or God in this life and the next as slaves. 'freewill' is a greek construct, not a biblical one.
Christ says 'come unto me those who are weak and heavy laiden for my yoke is easy and my burden light.'
In essence Sin= the slavery assoceiated with bondage and suffering
While Christ offers a light load and a mild temperament. Imagine how Joseph was a slave to pharaoh, and ruled over all of Egypt in his name, rather than a black man being beaten in a cotton field in a southern state 300 years ago.
Remember per our discussion in the slave thread the bible identifies both men as slaves. Meaning the bible's definition is far broader than your own. So if we're not going to have freewill in Heaven and we're slaves now, that makes going through all the trouble of guaranteeing our freewill in the Garden of Eden even more idiotic. You make your god look like a real scream.
What makes you think we had free will in the Garden?
Or maybe you should define free will, because all we had in the garden is what we have now, and that is the choice to Follow God or not. Not 'Free will.'
If you are asking whether or not we will have Choice or not the answer is yes.
Otherwise know the definition of 'free will' is:
the power of acting without the constraint of necessity or fate; the ability to act at one's own discretion.
In the book of revelation after the final judgement we will all live under God for 1000 years. then the Devil will be let loose again (giving us a choice) to either continue to follow God or to follow Him. Not all will choose to follow God.

I'm not so worried about free will in heaven. My question is, will there be free drugs and alcohol?

There is no need to pay much attention to Protestantism. It's just another heresy.
