The Last Movie You Watched
RE: The Last Movie You Watched
I watch "The Hurt Locker". I didn't see all the buzz it got when it came out. It was "ok", Private Ryan was way better. It did depict some real horrors of war like the kid getting murdered for being friendly with American solders. And the part where the Iraqi man with the bomb forced on him, and the bomb tech couldn't get it off on time, that part was heart breaking. But I fucking hated the ending, when he signed up again. Holy fucking recruitment movie BATMAN.

I didn't know that about Blade III.  I've watched 1 & 2, but not 3.  I've got the trilogy around here somewhere, I'll have to watch it.

I went slowly sane watching "Casino Royale". I had to go to the loo and open IMDB before I remembered Craig's role. He does dick vampire nicely.

Three distinctly different movies, each of which is fine alone. Blade ties them together.

Are they really spoilers when it’s a ten year old film?  There has to be some cutoff when giving away the ending is OK.

Hannibal

Plot:
Sequel to Silence of The Lambs, this time with a different actor as Clarice. This time around, Hannibal is still on the loose and living in Italy. There are a few mildly intertwining stories at play in this. First, Clarice is still investigating Hannibal and trying to track him down. Second, a man who is supposedly the only person to survive a Hannibal attack, and who also is badly scarred from said attack, is ALSO trying to track him down to gain his revenge upon the cannibal. And finally, an Italian detective has stumbled across Hannibal living in Italy, and decides to try and take bring him in, to obtain some sort of bounty placed on his head.

Thoughts:
While it's a continuation of the first one, it feels like a very different movie. This one is Gorier that the first, and plays upon Hannibal's supposed love for Clarice Starling, which for me personally seems a bit forced. [In the previous one, it seems more of an admiration that a love for her, where as this is levels above that, but that might just be me]. In saying that, Sir Antony is great in this [albeit maybe not as '1000 yard stare-y' as the first one], playing his same character. Julianne Moore plays a good Clarice, although having watched the first recently, I prefer Jodie Foster and her southern drawl. And Gary Oldman playing the scarred man in the wheelchair, just add's another character to his portfolio of "awesome characters from 90s/00's movies". When it all comes together at the end, it's pretty good, but again fairly different from the first movie, which is the superior of the two. I haven't seen Red Dragon for some time, so will check that our when I can.

Pedanty: The picture below was titled "Marines Call It The Two-Thousand Yard Stare". (Because 2,000 yards was about a mile.)

"I Think We're Alone Now".

Sort of a low budget sci- fi.. Peter Dinkledge , Elle Fanning and Paul Giomatti.

I quite liked it. The plot, while simple - holds your interest. Good cinematography, and some great scenery. Peter Dinkledge is rapidly becoming one of my favorite actors. The guy has range.
