Game of Thrones Season 5 Discussion [SPOILERS WITHIN]
RE: Game of Thrones Season 5 Discussion [SPOILERS WITHIN]
I don't think he does. I think he's training her up, he has big plans for her.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

A little OT, but if, in the books or the show, it's been explained how Littlefinger got the nickname, I can't remember. Can anyone help?

Yeah:

He was small as a child, and he's from a lesser house on the Fingers in the Vale of Arryn.

His father befriended Lord Hoster Tully and fostered him at Riverrun, and the older highborn boys named him Littlefinger as an insult.

The Fingers are rocky peninsulae near the Vale of Arryn, and Petyr's father was the lord of the smallest of them. And he is relatively short of stature, both as an adult and as a child when he was given the nickname.

He doesn't like this nickname as it points out he's just a minor lord and pretty much mocks him for being short sized.

Petyr Baelish is a very skilled diplomat...capable of manipulating almost anyone.

But he isn't the Master of Whispers like me.

Cersei is God Worship
“The larger the group, the more toxic, the more of your beauty as an individual you have to surrender for the sake of group thought. And when you suspend your individual beauty you also give up a lot of your humanity. You will do things in the name of a group that you would never do on your own. Injuring, hurting, killing, drinking are all part of it, because you've lost your identity, because you now owe your allegiance to this thing that's bigger than you are and that controls you.”  - George Carlin
