What a coincidence; I recently discovered Peter Pringle, too.
I discovered this while conducting a feasibility study on how a "Palme" speaker like the one in the screenshot could work with my voice (or guitar) playing. The jury's still out on whether or not it would sound good (let alone the feasibility of my idea of finding a way of having an exciter speaker vibrate the strings, like in the original speaker, but also have a pickup only pick up the string's vibrations and not the raw signal of the exciter speaker.)
