So, for all you losers who have never been to a Muslim wedding, you need to go lol. I just went to my very first Muslim wedding this past week. One of my best friends got married, and both his and his bride's families are filthy rich. Apparently, Muslim weddings are 2 day events. Hands down THE BEST party I have ever been to in my life. Amazing food including a whole room dedicated to desserts, a mix of "regular"/American hip hop and Arab music which was tons of fun, LOTS of dancing, and it was super interesting seeing such a different culture! These people know how to party. My group of friends and I were some of the only white people at that huge wedding lol.
As you can see, I borrowed a sari and dressed like the cool kids for the second day's festivities. :

"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
yeah... CL, you were a bit indecent in your first day!
That sari was much better.
Being a muslim wedding, the poor bride now belongs to the husband's family and her mother on law will now begin her life-long task of tormenting her! (or so I hear how those go )
Me.. I just went to a medieval park-thing last week... and took no photos of myself!
The monk and his liqueur
Here, we saw how to get wool strands out of raw wool and then you can see naturally dyed wool in the background - some of those come from the same dye, but using different pots copper or cast iron - that makes a difference!
Eagle training!
Slicing cucumbers
Jousting, the rough way!
Yes, there was a black night... of course, there's always a black night!
Sword-fight!!

You went to the AF Academy?? What year were you?
No. I went to a real institution of higher learning.
I graduated from the US Naval Academy in 2008. I was an officer in the Navy until January 2014.
2 for 7's are a phenomena common to all three service academies.
Also,
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

You sure that's not you doing your "cucumber trick" you were telling me about in all those PM's? You said a lot about "inserting" rather than slicing, but I figure it might be a translation thing...

If I didn't know that was an official Muslim wedding, I would have said it looks racist haha
Looking good Cathy.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
