I was certainly educated at my university. I think that those turds are just trying to deflect their base from getting educated, for further exploitation. I could have continued as a mechanic and made nearly the same money. In the time that I was at uni, I worked part time. Had I worked full time, I'd've potentially made more money. Then again, I remember working in both seriously hot (107º in the shade, and no shade) and cold (-28º, with a wind chill to -60). Different states of the union for that, btw. Given that arthritis has caught up to me, and I have it pretty much everywhere, working as an engineer probably extended my life span. I know about the arthritis because of a skeletal survey conducted due to an emerging condition that was likely caused by the chemicals I used as a mechanic.

One thing I always hear Trumpist say is Trump created a good economy. Nope, he inherited a growing economy that would have boomed without him. He is however responsible for its collapse due to his poor handling of Covid, And no investor confidence means nothing the strong economy would have stimulated that anyway.

It's frustrating to hear Trumpists, or frankly people in general say things like this, and really for any candidate on either side of the aisle. I have many years of finance and economics experience, and it's always an SMH moment to hear people oversimplify the movements of the economy. It's doubly irritating and often amusing when it's a politician speaking out of his or her (*cough* MTG *cough*) ass. The only thing more amusing/infuriating to me is a congressperson talking about Medicare and immediately showing they have absolutely zero understanding of what they are talking about.

I recall watching "Face the Nation" when the chump was still president. He was talking about taking away "entitlements" when he was reelected. Of course, that didn't happen. During the election cycle his campaign claimed that SS and Medicare would still be available. I know people who think that "entitlements" means welfare queens, not things like Medicare and Social Security, which many of the people who worship that turd depend on. The same people curse "Obamacare", because they know that they have the Affordable Care Act.

Guess who is also portraying higher education as not only useless but a sure-fire route to alcoholism and depression? Vladimir Putin in Russia.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I love how the son in the "ideal" outcome is wearing what is essentially a Hitler Jugend dress uniform. Of course in reality, these things are coming out because Russia is desperate for cannon fodder for their invasion of Ukraine, they're running out of conscripts after having gotten their (very small) core of professional soldiers killed off early doors and are now having massive trouble filling out their ranks.

Ah, it seems that Ivana's deadly fall from the stairs was a blessing in disguise for the Trump family
Quote:Donald Trump and his two eldest children, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump, are expected to testify under oath in the coming days in the New York attorney general's civil probe into the family's business practices.
The Trump family was slated to testify Friday, but in a last-minute announcement the attorney general's office said the interviews would be postponed because of the death of Ivana Trump, the former president's first wife and the mother of Donald Jr. and Ivanka.
"In light of the passing of Ivana Trump yesterday, we received a request from counsel for Donald Trump and his children to adjourn all three depositions, which we have agreed to," the attorney general's office said in a Friday morning statement.
