I think they’re waiting for the number of new cases to decline and old cases to recover and not looking at a specific death rate, because if you go only by that and prematurely end social distancing, then you risk creating a new spike in cases, and odds are, you’re going to get back to the old levels (this defeating the whole purpose) and creating a cycle that makes it a hell of a lot longer than it has to be.

If the deaths were of people between 20-40yo then i would say the same thing, those people remain home. If the ages were 0-20, same thing, stay home

Points that no one addressed is the fact that less than 40 people have died here in Australia, u know. Not thousands or hundreds, just 40
I mentioned the government plans 6 months of this
I mentioned that people will become homeless and have to battle and live it tough on the streets for the rest of their lives
Another point i made is that more lives are likely to end if we have this 6 month lock down
I never said to drop all restrictions and reopen it all like it was
Instead im saying some businesses can start re opening under the same conditions which Taiwan used
The methods used by eastern countries like Taiwan to keep their death ratio so low
Another major point is all the country area, far from the cities that remain unaffected.
I mentioned that this is unprecedented and options need to be discussed


Then i linked three different reputable media programs from here in Australia talking about it with experts, giving a lot more lines of reasoning than i gave
No one bothered to address any of it. None of the points i made and none of the points the analysts made either
If some one disagrees then make a case or at least refer to one of the points

At the very least answer this; 
When can we (Australians) start re opening some industries? 
Is it when the death ratio gets down to 1 per day (which is what Australia is at). Is it when the death ratio is at 1 per week?
What's your measure of when people can start getting back to work? 

The low figures in Australia means that there is a discussion about it here
In America and many European countries the death toll is way too high to be talking about this yet. Maybe that why people getting triggered

Looking at the rate of infection it looks like Australia started seeing a reduction in new cases on the 29th and is now possibly starting a more solid decline in the number of new cases, but you're looking at a minimum of 2 weeks before things can really begin relax and expect longer.

While I'm not in charge of deciding when any other nation decides to reopen, I'd think that the time would be when you subtract the dead and recovered from the confirmed cases, and the resulting number is a hell of a lot lower than the total confirmed cases. Can't give a specific percentage for that, but I'll tell you one thing I'm noticing when I'm looking at the stream: of all the nations listed in the first three columns, there are exactly TWO where it's less than 50%. Those nations? Mainland China and South Korea. And South Korea still has about 35% of its cases active. I'm fairly certain Mainland China has reached that point and South Korea hasn't.

I get the impression that the UK isn't publishing the number of recovered for some reason. It doesn't seem to have changed for quite a while...

In Lusitania we are dealing with it. Just because you were born in na rich country, it doesn't give you the right to piss on your elderly nor to put your gaming life ahead of those that fought for your kiddy previleges, as playing internet games. We have been taking, as much of old europe has, the brunt of the outbreak, over 10k of infections, here, in old Portugal, you spoiled child. Stay away from here, you are a shame to our people and we are finally on the downturn, to the penalty of many fathers, mothers and old family.

We are on lockdown for good reasons and the numbers say we are flattening the infection curve, and we have followed the recommendations of the WHO and the minister of health, etc. The restrictions will be removed as the constituition demands.
