I will say this: I wasn’t involved in that decision, and I don’t personally believe the discussion in question represents rape apologism; but rather a philosophical discussion regarding what constitutes violence. You and Bel were both very clear about the fact that rape is rape. That being said, keep it in mind that we’re a team of staff and we’re all trying to do what we think is best for the forum and its participating members.

That's very reasonable; I won't push the point any further. Thank you.

Thoughts are not immune from approval and it requires no argument. People are allowed to judge other peoples thoughts and condemn those thoughts
Quote:Yeah. I think Breezy has a point here. "Rape isn't always violent." -- with no context could certainly be considered an apologist statement. But the way Breezy said it, it was not. He was talking about non-violent forms of coercion that are deemed rape by certain feminists. He was taken out of context.
Same thing with Belacqua. What Bel basically said was "statutory rape is rape, even when no violence is involved."
Rape is by default a violent act

Yeah, that happened. And we all let it happen. SO sorry for the delay.

I wouldnt necessarily agree with your usage of that word, but
#1 I am no native english speaker
#2 Your statements make sense to me (= i agree), given the usage of "violent" you are applying.

Drich victim-blamed Judy when she opened up about her rape. This doesn't surprise me at all. It's a shame more action wasn't taken then, when an actual member of ours was being attacked that way.
