I do not find the Bible to be a burden, as a matter of fact I find it very rewarding I've learned a considerable amount about God, life, ect. I recieve a great peace from reading scriptures, I can not see any reason to give up something that helps make my life so much better.
Have you tried drugs instead? LSD gives great insight into life the universe and everything. Ecstasy teaches you a lot about love. Cannabis helps you relax and be at peace.
I mean, that's what you seem to be saying, for you the bible is a drug that you are addicted to.
I do understand you though. I've known a few hardcore christians who have told me they couldn't imagine life without god, and I have seen the sincerity in their eyes and voice. They simply couldn't understand how I can live without god, they sympathize with me, like I have a disability or something. I would be quite amusing if it wasn't so sad.

10 points for trying.
How about Samuel 15 then? Seems pretty unambiguous. God gets pissed off because Saul didn't kill everyone down to the last sheep. I mean, God does love to punish the animals along with the humans he is targeting as part of his latest genocidal pogrom. Consider the flood... kills off a majority of living creatures just to punish humanity. Subtlety is not one of Yahweh's traits that is for sure.
A finite number of monkeys with a finite number of typewriters and a finite amount of time could eventually reproduce 4chan.
