Cessation of existence would make Yahweh look less evil, but wouldn't help convert atheists who think that's going to happen anyway.
If I were convinced that pissing off God would result in my nonexistence, and not pissing off God would result in an eternity singing hymns in heaven, I would be sure to piss off God as best I could.
