I am an avid reader and true lover of books. Having said that, the burning of the Koran does not ignite any emotion in me whatsoever. It is a piece of religious fiction that holds no truth and does not impact my day-to-day life. I would probably take more offense to the burning of Twas the Night Before Christmas. The people who make such a commotion over this meaningless act think that the burner is devaluing a piece of sacred scripture (reprinted millions of times over); would suck if it were the original.
Wouldn't you think by now that if god truly did exist, he would send a lightning bolt crashing to the ground in anger over such desacration of his words. Read the Old Testament; he is not that mercyful and just.
