Haha yeah. Try that in any other everyday situation. I don't show you my passport at the airport, I give you hundreds of arguments why I don't need to show it to you.

My passport necessarily exists because how why would I book a flight without one? Planes exists to take people with passports to other countries, only people who go to check in to fly to other countries have passports, I am at the check in desk trying to fly to another country ergo I have a passport.

"Even if I accept it as given that your passport exists, how do I know it's the right passport for this check in, or that it's not out of date, or that it's *your* passport without showing it to me?"

"You can't prove its *not* my passport!"

And so on. Dumb dumb dumb.
