Absolutely. There certainly is the way things stand. I believe in a real, physical world alright, but statements regarding those things? Their truth is not only contingent upon the way things actually stand in the world but on the adequacy of language to capture important aspects of those things. I think descriptions of reality are always incomplete and filtered by the language. Statements are never 'absolute'. Therefore truth cannot be either.
