You told people your intentions, even if they were typed in sarcasm. How are people to know when you're being sarcastic in a text-only format if you don't denote it in some way? I generally take what people say at face value.
I have a low tolerance for people who aren't self- possessed enough to know when they need to alter their communication styles.
