A "claim" is a pretty big pill to swallow. As it stands, we can only see stars or EM that has reached us. If there is a star 20 billion light years away, we will not see it for another 5 billion some years. Because of this possibility, it is impossible to prove the extent of the universe. It may very well be infinite in size with infinite matter. The universe arising from a singularity has pretty much gone the way of the gods.
"It may very well be infinite in size with infinite matter." What the fuck? The universe could be made of donuts. Throwing things out in the ether without evidence is pointless. And, no, I am not going to make another thread. This thread "evolved," so continue the conversation or submit a resignation, but DO NOT ignore me without telling me in advance.
Obviously you are behind in the new theories of the universe. The mainstream thought is that space-time itself 'exploded', not a singularity and yes, it may very well be infinite in size with infinite matter.
Quote:According to NASA, scientists know that the universe is flat with only about a 0.4 percent margin of error (as of 2013). A flat universe is an infinite universe; thus the size of the universe is infinite.
I ignored what?
You make people miserable and there's nothing they can do about it, just like god.

Science is like a blabbermouth who ruins a movie by telling you how it ends. There are some things we don't want to know. Important things.
