I got the feeling that most of those who replied to this thread understood the issue. I felt the need to jump in when that first person (I don't feel like going back to page one to see who it was) said he thought the op had a valid case and again when Catholic lady said the same thing. There is no double standard and I think most of those here expressed that. That being the case and the op being gone there's really nothing else to say on this thread.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.
