I can't imagine the plight of women who are faced with crisis pregnancies. And I strongly disagree with treating women who have had an abortion, or are about to have one, with condemnation and rash judgement on their character.
Ok. Was my abortion heinous?
I know this is directed for CL, but I want to answer. Acts that are considered heinous in general, are not always heinous. Killing a person for example. Intent is paramount to defining the act as heinous. If I'm driving my car down the street and elect, of my own choice to swerve on to the sidewalk and run over a man, killing him, that is heinous. If I am driving and texting and not paying attention, and I dont see the red light or the pedestrian in the crosswalk and hit them with my car, that is heinous because I was being negligent. If I am driving and a person who wishes to commit suicide, runs from behind a tree leaping front of my car and it kills him, that is not heinous.
In all three scenarios, a person's life ends as a result of me driving my car, but they are each distinctly different. In the case of a crisis pregnancy, same thing. If your life was not at risk, I presume you wouldn't have aborted. Intent is everything in classifying an action.
We are not made happy by what we acquire but by what we appreciate.
