Latino is just denoting Latin heritage. My biological father's people are from Cuba. They were rum runners during Prohibition. While yes I'm technically Afro-Latina it doesn't mean much to me, I didn't grow up with my father's family. I grew up in a Jewish/Italian neighborhood and personally it took me a bit to figure out I wasn't actually Italian. My mother's Creole, with pretty dark red-brown skin and shiny naturally straight black hair which I envy. She has thin mouth, thick eyebrows, and low round cheekbones. I don't look much like either parent. Lawrence is tall with blue-black skin, slanted eyes that are sea green. He has big wide lips, a long thin nose, and seems to be naturally hairless.
I look like no one really. I have light red-brown skin that finally got darker once we moved south. (I was compared to a banana most of my childhood). I have dark slanted eyes that are such a dark grey most people just assume they're brown or black. My hair is full of loose bouncy curly that are nightmare to comb come washing time. I have cheekbones so sharp I could cut glass, a pointy chin, and full lips that always make me look petulant.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.
