"Address verification" is not legal in Australia, thank Christ.
Of course I had an issue with that once, and I emailed the vendor and said "WTF is this 'address not verified' shit, you can't ask for my bank address you know" they wrote back and said "yes we can" so I called them and explained to them that we don't put up with that privacy invasion, and they didn't believe me (but took my credit card on the phone). Fucking stupid yanks.
Anyway you can Google it. It's against the code for Australian banks to pass on ANY information about their customers to 3rd parties including answering "yes/no" questions.
