Bugs me too. Some people just have no manners. I didn't have to hold the door open for you so the lease you can do is smile.
And kind of related - I hate how people appear to have this mentality that they want to avoid talking, smiling, or even making eye contact with other people in public. Have we sunk so low that we are this anti-social now? I despair. I don't know if this is just a British thing (it is very British, I must say) or if it's like this in other countries too.
USA also. When there is a crowd sometimes I might just as well be the door man. But then I didn't open the door for a thank you, but it wouldn't hut either.
At the grocery store yesterday and I let a lady in front of me in line because she only had a few items when she walked up behind me. She starts checking out then states I just have a couple more things to get and takes off. We were both waiting in line for a few minutes but the thought didn't come to her until she starts to check out? I'm not really mad but definitely irritated.
