They are not wasting their time at all.
In fact slowly slowly they are getting there but this there will be the border between the physical universe and what is behind this universe.
Once they get at the border they for sure will want to cross this border and merge in the real thing.
But at this stage you wouldn't have a clue what this is.
But don't despair Drake.
Give time and everything will be sorted out.
Yes, once they've discovered the truth they'll look back at your somewhat criminal overuse of the rule of three and say to themselves;
"Wow, that guy knew all along what we had actually gone to university and studied countless mentally grueling years to discover. Lets toss aside the lab coats and our clearly flawed requirement for evidence and reasoning. Lets get some sweat pants, do some stretches and butcher whats left of the English language."
Oh I'm not despairing. I'm waiting with bated breath for the next gem of wisdom which to the naked eye looks suspiciously brown and imperfectly shaped but to those with perfect clarity it is a treasure to hold up and cherish.
I truly hope your words are immortalized for all to see for future generations. Nay, I do not need to hope. Through the wonders of the internet this is a reality.
