if a person has convincing evidence that the experience is just wishful thinking then yes it is reasonable for someone to believe it is wishful thinking .
What would constitute evidence that it is wishful thinking?

it is sad and amazes me how so many people are not open to the possibility of God and attribute everything to their " mind playing tricks on them " despite their mind never doing such a thing before or after and despite other people not experiencing such a mind trick .
Actually, such experiences are fairly common. Plenty of people have them. (Especially when waking/falling asleep.) But if you discount the ones you run into that have had such experiences as rare, you'll go on thinking they're rare even though you've encountered a number of people who have had such experiences. You've already met two in this forum, and that's just the people who have spoken out.
