What would constitute evidence that it is wishful thinking?

Actually, such experiences are fairly common. Plenty of people have them. (Especially when waking/falling asleep.) But if you discount the ones you run into that have had such experiences as rare, you'll go on thinking they're rare even though you've encountered a number of people who have had such experiences. You've already met two in this forum, and that's just the people who have spoken out.
the first person admitted that it was during a time of waking up from sleep so its reasonable to assume that its simply a remnant of a dream he was having , but the other one reported it happening during a time of wakefulness while in a conversation with someone which ive never heard of happening and if it never happened before or since then i would think you would at least question whether it was simply a mind trick that never repeated itself for some reason .

evidence that it is just my own wishful thinking would be if i were the only person that experienced something and noone else did or scientific proof that the thoughts were coming from my own mind .
Imagine there's no heaven It's easy if you try No hell below us Above us only sky Imagine all the people Living for today Imagine there's no countries It isn't hard to do Nothing to kill or die for And no religion too Imagine all the people Living life in peace You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you will join us And the world will be as one - John Lennon
