You have no way of knowing that there -is- anything other than self to be of.
That's right, and that's what "may or may not" means.

Quote:Yet you think your ideas exist as you think they do.  You don't know whether or not particles -exist-.  Black box.  You don't know that there -is- an underlying reality.  Black Box.
My ideas are self-evident, because I don't need to attribute them to a particular source. I don't need to know whether there is an underlying reality or not. Black box is fine, so long as you are content with what's inside it.

Quote:You are a mind -made of cheese- in the conjecture..and I'm starting to wonder whether this holds true irl as well.
Maybe in your cheese-universe, you can as the God of Cheese stipulate that mind is cheese. But as a cheese denizen, I wouldn't know this. It would be exactly as the current universe.

Quote:. . .the manner in which you've strung them together can't be expected to yield truth as output -even- if it's supplied with true input.  -If- your facts are straight..............you still need a valid form of inference, which you've failed to present.
I don't know the truth. I only know that given my experiences, I see no compelling reason to make the extra assertion or circular assumptions that a material monist world view makes.
