The Gospel of "Peter" is second century bullshit that was so fucking stupid that not even the fanatics who made up the early church could stomach it. That's why they left it out of your fucking bible.

Since the Gospel of Peter was written in the mid second century, it is not a candidate for inclusion in the New Testament. The numerous embellishments in the Gospel of Peter clearly indicate that it was composed in the second century and was not written by the apostle Peter.

Are you aware that Theophilus is quoting from 2 Peter a letter supposed to be from Peter (non-evangelical scholars said it was a fake) which is in the New Testament, not the Gospel of Peter which is not in the New Testament.
