I genuinely am not sure of the practical difference between communism (as it appears in the world, not the idealised version) and a dictatorship. I'd be very interested if anyone can help me out there. I'm sure I'm missing at least one important point.
The practical difference is that under fascism free economic enterprise is still allowed and government and corporate interests become one and the same. Where as under communism the state directly usurps control of large corporate interests, like the soviet collectivization of farming in the 30's.
