Even atheists can be deulsional/ OP ED
Ok so I am on another site, and this particular individual atheist and I have a years long falling out after I picked on Buddhism and he got all buthurt. And outside this issue I am used to some atheists thinking Che was a hero which he was not. He was an opportunist who played the populist card but all he did was simply switch the private sector wealth monopoly to control of the Castro family. BUT even that is not my point.

So just now he made the bat shit crazy statement that North Korea is not a fascist state...... WHAT THE FUCK?

Now haven't read his response yet so I will keep you posted, but the only guess I can make is that he's playing word games. Un is a dictator, or maybe he means there is a difference between "totalitarian" and "fascist", but that is like saying there is a difference between Ted Bundy and Jeffery Dhamer. North Korea is an oppressive place for anyone who is stuck keeping their dissent thoughts in their brains. If you say boo to his rule, it is a risk to your life.

Help me out guys, because I cannot figure out why anyone would justify that fucked up family or assbackwords Orwellian country.

Hi Brian. Fascism is a set of right-wing totalitarian ideologies (e.g. National Socialism) whereas North Korea is a Communist state which has adopted a totalitarian left-wing ideology, that of the Supreme Leader Kim Il Sung. Technically, your friend is correct.

Is "dictatorship" accurate? It seems so to me, whether or not it's also fascist.

I genuinely am not sure of the practical difference between communism (as it appears in the world, not the idealised version) and a dictatorship. I'd be very interested if anyone can help me out there. I'm sure I'm missing at least one important point.

Well, it isn't. Only if you take the simplistic approach of calling every totalitarian systems fascist, it is.

North Korea is closely related to absolutel monarchies, with god kings as it's rulers. Apart from the personality cult involved, it's got nothing in common with what we know as fascism. It also has next to nothing in common with the classic communist regimes we used to know in decades past. It is a singularity, as far as our contemporary understanding is concerned.

You confirmed my suspicions. It is semantics and getting picky. Like I said, the difference between Ted Bundy and Jeffery Damher. On a non fascist note, this is like when my mom called a foot stool an Ottoman. Way to stare at my finger while I am pointing to the sky. 

My point is that that family are monsters. Pick any fucking negative word about them and it is apt. Dicks, assholes, murderers, thugs, criminals all apt descriptions of that family.

Here is the other thing these assholes do, I am going to admit I was mixing up my terminology, but even when I admit I make a mistake, they still get distracted by that instead of my message. It is the same when theists point out very trivial "mistakes" scientist can make that really do not change the outcome of the data.

So fucking sue me. My point was that family are a bunch of fucking sick fucks.

Those idiots don't make it easy for me to understand them. I really do think this all stems from our falling out. Like how neither party in a divorce is wrong, but because of personality, they end up angry at each other no matter what. Funny part is long ago we all used to like each other.

The practical difference is that under fascism free economic enterprise is still allowed and government and corporate interests become one and the same. Where as under communism the state directly usurps control of large corporate interests, like the soviet collectivization of farming in the 30's.
