Basically if the guy is misogynistic and is also a virgin - regardless of whether you intended it as a joke or not - he seems to be hyper-sensitive at times so I would want him to feel ashamed for his misogyny rather than his virginity, that's all.
Jokes aren't intended to cause shame, but they can cause shame and when it comes to something bigoted I'd rather someone feel ashamed for their bigotry rather than something else.
