Yes it is an evil world, and the worst evil right now that is distracting our species from what you rightfully just said, is the stupid fucking idea of a "chosen people". It is the worst idea humans have ever concocted. It is sucking money away from better uses humanity could be using to solve issues of poverty and pollution. Yes, it is the economy.

The idea of "the chosen" people is can hardly be stripped from the mentality of humans. If religion was destroyed for good, there will still be the "elite" syndrome where business men/ wealthy people/ politicians and all, love to feel important and all, build fancy halls and make lots of fancy parties "only for them to attend"; then sooner or later they become the new "chosen people".

If you meant religion, I think the chosen people phenomena has nothing to do with religion.

We're not in the Middles East either by the way, we're in Europe.  This is an unprecedented attack, meaning an attack like it had never happened before.  This was a Friday night, young people going for a night out, in a relatively peaceful and secure city.........you expect the same type of security you see in the middle east?  I mean, seriously??

That's a city with a moderate crime rate for starters.  So yes; seriously. We're not speaking about "utopia", where people greet you with smiles and flowers at every corner. That's a country with an active underground, black markets for weapons.

Charlie Hebdo was a totally different incident, in terms of planning, scope and execution.  Hebdo was specifically targeted because of a supposed slur on Islam.  What happened on Friday night was a coordinated, multi-pronged attack on the civilian population, planned and orchestrated from the outside.

I have already said I agree with a lot of what you've said on the political situation, but the criticism of teh security measures on the ground are unfounded in my opinion.

We might again disagree, since ISIS claim responsibility for charlie & then again cracked the security around the magazine's office (which I see very ironic).

Since you served in the army, you indeed know what a direct impact from an AK would cause (7.62 caliber to the skull would indeed send pieces flying). What happened in Charlie Hebdo is what got me to question security. The attack was coordinated too.

Europe acheived its prosperty and freedom, through exporting its civil madness to the outside. No offense, but there's a very big chance that those attacks on france were planned by Europeans, or did you forget the parties that made profit until now from the incident ?
