Vehicular terror now in Paris

Police say the situation is now under control, and a bomb disposal unit is on the scene.
The Paris prosecutor's counter-terrorism unit has now opened an investigation into the incident.

Apparently the car was filled with Kalashnakovs and gas bottles so ramming into something then exploding with no loss of life except his was probably the happiest outcome.

I heard on the ABC news in the car on the way to work that they shot him?
