But my question to you was what precisely makes the quality of consciousness supported by vegetarianism 'higher'?

A vegetarian diet keep the body free from saturated fat, cholesterol, toxins and other crap preventing
the free flow of blood which would nourish properly body-brain among the other things.
As the body keep a brain in good nick also a good brain keep the mind and the consciousness in good nick.
