"How do you think life on earth will end?"
Life, but not as we know it, will probably not die out until the sun's output makes it too warm for life (even extremophiles).
No species has ever lived forever; all have died out to be replaced by other species. Mostly this has happened in what has been called mass extensions some of which have killed off up to 95% of all life at those times. There is a better than gross chance homo-sapiens will die off as a product of another mass extension long before the sun has a chance to eliminate our species.
There is also a better than even chance (my estimate)
we will be replaced by another species more or less intelligent than us.
In any case the sun is expected to run for another 4 billion years before expanding.
I agree with vorlon13; when I die the universe will cease to exist.
