Rape is a touchy subject and I have witnessed first hand men get accused of rape, then have their accuser recant their accusation. It's a very difficult legal dilemma, unless there's physical evidence. I don't believe that there is a "rape culture", or a society accepting of rape. Who thinks rape is acceptable? That article is just an anecdote.
People do though. You should have seen the comments on the article about that 14 year old girl who was raped by the prison guard. He said she seduced him. Everyone was going on about what a little tramp she was and how she deserved it.
If someone gets drunk and makes out with someone, many people think that means the person now has a right to sex. If you didn't want sex you should have thought about that before you got drunk and made out with your roommate's friend.
Rape culture is a very real thing.
Also, dismissing the rape of men is part of it too. People automatically assume that men wanted it and are therefore incapable of being raped. It's disgusting.
