Yes, if someone expresses that they're not interested in you romantically, sexually, platonically, or in any other manner, you should shrug it off. You cannot insist people want or desire you, if they don't.
No one owes you attention or sex by virtue of the fact that you simply want it.
That's insanity.
Why should your want be given more consideration than the want of someone to NOT be bothered with you?
